Which by the way I never signed and would be a very good issue to send to the North Carolina State Attorney General's office in Raleigh asking them to look into. Fitness connection will have to produce a contract that I signed. So, if I choose to leave over the filth in this gym, I will first notify my credit card company that any charges after I notify Fitness Connection the date that I am leaving are fraudulent on their part and let the Credit Card Company deal with them. I have never signed a contract with Fitness Connection as they just kept me on the old membership I had with Golds and Pulse, and Athletic Club Inc., before them over the years. I would be happy to pay the market price for membership in a clean well run club. I would leave this gym operation the very day someone opens a clean new gym that offers a complete schedule of Les Mills class like RPM. Like I said, I enjoy the Les Mills Classes (when I can get in to them). I have not had the experiences concerning charges because I have not decided to quit this gym yet. The place has gone downhill in terms of these things. ![]() Four wheel drive pickups pulled up on the grass and curbs where no parking place exists. (You know human feces and urine that is unflushed when you go in.) The parking lot looks like you pulled into a cheap trailer park. The locker rooms and bathrooms look like the ones you see at a gas station in the bad side of town. I am quite qualified to say this because I spent 10 years as a Public Health Department Environmental Health Inspector putting those Sanitation Ratings in Restaurants. The Gym is generally a cess pool of germs because they do a very poor job of keeping the gym clean and neat, not to mention sanitary. The gym is way over crowded due to the # of memberships they have sold. BUT!! This newest name the gym operates under (FITNESS CONNECTION) is absolutely THE WORST operation management ever out all of the previous names the gym operated under. OK, I have been a member of the Greenville gym location ever since it was built in the early 1980's. If this is true then Titan was in control of their billing when under the Gold's name. Reviewing Gold's website they indicate that any billing questions be directed to the independently owned Gold's which you belong to. Gold's is the franchisor and Titan is the franchisee then. It will be VERY interesting to see if the hostile billing practices came from Gold, or if the Titan group will recognize how strongly word-of-mouth aids, or detracts, from building long-term memberships. So the ownership didn't change, the franchise labeling did. Titan owns 17 clubs in the Triangle Greenville, N.C. "Titan bought the Houston-based Fitness Connection chain and ended its affiliation with Gold's. The short version is that a group of local gyms were owned by a company called Titan, who paid a franchise fee to label them as a part of the Golds Gym chain. biz - Five Gold's Gyms converting to Fitness Connection clubs | blogs
